(Here's the complete list - May 2011) Perhentian cannot claim to be the best diving island on the east coast of the peninsular, but if your considerations is a combination of BEAUTIFUL island, white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, not over-developed, not over-crowded, nice snorkeling from the beach (without having to rent a boat to get out there), safe diving practices, dive sites within 10 minutes from your dive shop, something to do for the whole family...then The Perhentians would be my choice for an all-rounded destination.
